Throughout our lives, we will be faced with many challenges that require us to be courageous.
Courage is not the absence of fear, but the ability to take action in spite of it.
When we are courageous, we expand our horizons and achieve things we never thought possible.
Research from Duke University shows that if you believe it, you are more likely to take the actions necessary to achieve it. If you really stop and think about it, this is a powerful statement!
So what does this mean for you? It means that you truly have the power to do anything you set your mind to!
Here are 4 principles to remember about courage:
Your life will shrink or expand in proportion to your courage.
2. Our courage will be tested when change is necessary but doing nothing is more comfortable.
3. Our courage will be tested whenever we face obstacles to our progress.
4. We weren’t created to live in a constant state of fear and stress. We were made to be strong and courageous!
Think for a moment about some of the life experiences you would have missed out on if you would’ve given in to your fear.
Here are 5 reflection questions to consider about courage:
When it comes to being courageous, what are some things that have helped you take action?
2. Who inspires you to live courageously?
3. When have you been most proud of yourself for taking action?
4. How do you stay motivated when things get tough?
5. If you were the most courageous you’ve ever been, what would you do today?
Whenever you feel fear creeping in, remember that you were made to be courageous!
Here are 7 tips for being more courageous this week:
- Believe in yourself.
- Take action even when you're afraid.
- Stay focused on why your goals matter.
- Be persistent and don't give up easily.
- Let go of negative thoughts and replace them with positive ones.
- Surround yourself with inspiring people who will support your dreams and aspirations.
- Embrace change as an opportunity for growth.
Throughout your life, you can choose courage or you can choose comfort, but you cannot have both at the same time.
Courage to act will define your initiatives. When it comes to being courageous, remember that you are not alone. There are many people who have gone before you and achieved great things. You can do the same!
Just remember to stay focused on your goals and don't give up easily. Courage is something that can be learned and developed over time. So start small and work your way up. Be courageous in your everyday life and see what amazing things happen!
